Mt. Maxwell

Frank Licsko
Oil on canvas · 12 × 12 inches

For more than fifty years, Mount Maxwell has been a familiar source of inspiration for Frank. Changing weather and seasons continually reveal something new in its silhouette and surrounding landscape.

In this intimate painting, golden light breaks through dark clouds above the mountain and foreground trees. Its small scale invites a close look at the light, atmosphere, and brushwork.
